Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery

The Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery provides evaluation and treatment for infants, children and adolescents with musculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions.  Care is also provided for young adults with pediatric orthopaedic conditions that require ongoing care.  

Diagnoses or Conditions Treated

- General  clubfoot, intoeing, limb deficiency, leg length difference,metatarsus adductus, skeletal dysplasias
- Hip  developmental hip dysplasia, Perthes disease, slipped capitalfemoral epiphysis
- Neuromuscular cerebral palsy, spina bifida, syndromes with musculoskeletal
- Spine back pain, kyphosis, scoliosis
- Sports medicine anterior cruciate ligament tears, meniscus tears, osteochondritisdissecans, patellar instability, patellofemoral syndrome, shoulder labral tears, shoulder instability
- Trauma contusions, fractures, sprains
 

 Procedural Capability

  • Arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, Shoulder labral repairs
  • Casting and surgery for fractures
  • Clubfoot casting, bracing, and surgery
  • Hip reduction and osteotomies including Periacetabular Osteotomy
  • Limb deformity correction and osteotomies
  • Muscle lengthening and tendon transfers
  • Spine surgery for kyphosis and scoliosis
