Neurosurgery Clinic

The Department of Neurosurgery at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth exists to provide quality comprehensive neurosurgical care to members of the uniformed services. We provide care to active duty and all eligible active duty dependents, retirees, and retiree dependents, including children. Our care includes the evaluation and treatment of the central and peripheral nervous systems, addressing tumors, vascular lesions, trauma, degenerative conditions and congenital anomalies of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and spinal column.

Availability of Services
Neurosurgery Clinic patients require a consultation from their Primary Care Provider.

Appointments

Patients should call TRICARE at 1-866-645-4584 for their initial appt and most follow-up appointments. Patients with tumors may self-refer and should call 757-953-9390.

The Neurosurgery Clinic would like to offer the option for patients to contact the clinic through MHS GENESIS Patient Portal Messaging for non-urgent requests such as: medication refills, requesting appointments, follow up visits, and non-urgent medical concerns/questions.
