How to Make an Appointment
Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Portsmouth is dedicated to sustaining optimal dental readiness for our deployable active duty personnel. The Command Dental Clinics are currently scheduling Dental Readiness Classes 2, 3, & 4 for treatment needs. Please contact your base dental clinic to schedule an appointment.
Dental Front Desk Contacts:
Should after hours emergency dental care be needed, patients should report to the Emergency Room for evaluation. Emergencies are seen anytime with the appropriate referral from the Emergency Department.
Priority of Care
Routine services are available to active duty personnel assigned or referred to the clinic. Emergency care is limited to humanitarian relief of acute pain, trauma and infection.

Dental Sick Call
Sick call hours are held daily from 6:45 to 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday
Dental Emergencies
The following are usually considered dental emergencies:
- Severe Pain or Swelling
- Uncontrollable Bleeding
- Acute Trauma
The following are generally NOT considered to be dental emergencies:
- Loose teeth (adult or baby) unless associated with trauma/injury
- Loose permanent or temporary crowns
- Broken fillings or teeth that occur while eating
