WOMAN, INFANTS & CHILDREN (WIC) PROGRAM IN HAMPTON ROADS 

“The goal of Virginia WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) is to improve the health of pregnant women, infants and children (under 5 years) through better nutrition and access to health care. The Program provides nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and support, supplemental nutritious foods, counseling at WIC clinics, and screening and referrals to other health, welfare, and social services. To be eligible for the WIC Program, applicants must meet categorical, residential, income, and nutrition risk requirements.” - Virginia Department of Health

Network Outage

All systems have been restored and Q-Anywhere has been re-activated.

Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and other East Coast Military Treatment Facilities have experienced a network outage affecting phones and connectivity. Some inpatient and outpatient services may continue to experience delays as systems are restored.

If you have an appointment or surgery today, please contact your clinic through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or the clinic phone directory to see whether any scheduling changes are needed: https://portsmouth.tricare.mil/About-Us/Phone-Directory

Due to the ongoing network outage, the Q-Anywhere service is currently offline or experiencing significant processing delays.
To ensure patient safety, pharmacy teams are prioritizing Emergency Department, Operating Room, Inpatient, and Discharge prescriptions. Routine outpatient prescription will experience extended delays.
