Pediatric Nutrition

The Pediatric Dietitian at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth provides a comprehensive range of outpatient nutrition care to infants, toddlers, children and teens.

We care for children with a variety of conditions including:

Referral Instructions

Tricare Prime from Military Treatment Facilities

Your Primary Care Provider will submit the referral to Health Net Federal Services (HNFS). Call the Hampton Roads Appointment Center (HRAC)at 1-866-645-4584 in 48 hours to schedule your appointment. Everyone must call within 28 days or your referral will be closed.

Tricare Prime from civilian offices

Your Primary Care Provider will submit the referral to HNFS. Call HNFS at 1-877-TRICARE in 4 working days for information related to your appointment.

Tricare Standard

Your Primary Care Provider will submit the referral to HNFS. You will receive a letter in approximately 10 days with information on how to schedule your appointment. You can call HNFS at 1-877-TRICARE to check the status of your referral.
