Patient & Guest Relations
The Patient & Guest Relations Department provides liaison between beneficiaries and/or their family members and Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) staff to facilitate optimal quality healthcare, promote respect and support the Rights and Responsibilities of the patient. They also educate and advise patients on the proper hospital policies and procedures.
Patient concerns should first attempt to be resolved at the lowest possible level. NMCP Customer Relations Representatives (CRR) act to correct customer service issues on behalf of patients and visitors who are visiting their respective clinic/ward/service. Please feel free to ask to speak to the customer service representative.
For concerns which were unable to be resolved by the department/CRR or requiring further follow up, patients, family members or visitors should seek the assistance of the Patient & Guest Relations Department representatives.
If it is after duty hours, weekends or holidays, the Command Duty Office (CDO) at the quarterdeck on the second floor of Bldg. 2 will assist patients and visitors on behalf of Patient & Guest Relations. Issues not resolved will be referred to the Patient & Guest Relations Department the next business day.
