Laboratory Services – Policy Change
Effective March 15, 2023
In accordance with Defense Health Agency (DHA) policy, NMCP and its Branch Health Clinics, will no longer be authorized to accept and process laboratory orders from non-Military Treatment Facility (MTF) providers.
This change is part of a continued effort to support DHA’s priorities and optimize communication between laboratory services and ordering providers.
If you have been given a lab order from a non-MTF provider, you may report to a TRICARE approved laboratory facility. Please ask your provider which TRICARE approved laboratory they would prefer you use.
