Radiology

Department of Radiology provides a full range of radiographic support using the latest in imaging technology for diagnostic purposes. Radiology collaborates with numerous departments within the Naval Health Systems such as Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Aviation Medicine, Operational Screening, Primary Care, Pediatrics, Chiropractic Clinic, and Preventative Medicine. Department supports with image and telerad technology for the interpretation of images by radiologists located at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.

Exams are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Special procedures such as barium swallow, oral cholecystogram, ultrasound, and CT scans, MRIs, and mammograms are scheduled by Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Radiology at 757-953-9729. Medical Facility and time for exam will be chosen by patient at that time.
