Walk-In Contraceptive Services
Naval Medical Center Portsmouth offers convenient walk-in contraceptive care, providing all your contraceptive needs in one location.
WICC hours are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Walk-in patients will be seen based on availability and clinical capacity. When capacity is reached, no additional patients can be seen.
Eligibility:
All beneficiaries, including active duty service members and TRICARE beneficiaries over the age of 13, are eligible for care and counseling. No appointment or referral is required.
Services Offered:
We provide education on safe sexual practices and offer the following contraceptive options:
- Patches
- Pills
- Implants (e.g., Nexplanon)
- IUDs (Mirena, Kyleena, Paragard)
- Rings (Annovera, NuvaRing)
- Depo-Provera injections
- Condoms
How It Works:
Simply walk into the Women's Health Clinic during operating hours. Services include initiation of short-acting reversible contraceptives (SARC) and placement of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC).
