The Urology Clinic at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth specializes in providing comprehensive care to eligible beneficiaries with disorders of the urinary tracts of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males.
The Urology Clinic provides a full range of services including diagnosis, treatment, patient education and management of urological conditions. Common conditions treated include urinary obstruction, prostate enlargement (BPH), erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, urinary tract calculus disease (stones), and bladder; prostate, testicular and kidney cancer all make up a large portion of urologic practice. Some other common conditions treated by urologists are urinary tract infection, sexually transmitted disease and injury to urologic organs.
Our facility incorporates state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and technology to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care for adults. Services provided include select radiographic imaging, urodynamic testing, cystoscopic examinations of the bladder, laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, open surgery, prosthetics, extra-corporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), intravenous conscious sedation and minor surgery.
