In addition to filling new prescriptions from both military and civilian health care providers, the pharmacy team provides patient consultation and education on the effects and proper usage of medication and medication refill services.

Pharmacy Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 0700 to 1600

New Prescriptions

All prescriptions must be activated by calling into the NMCP Call Center at 757-953-0258; press option 6 for prescription activation. There is a 2-3 day turn around on all non-emergency medications.

All electronic prescriptions from outside provider must be filled by calling the Pharmacy Call Canter at 953-0258 Options 6.

CHCS entered prescriptions (military provider entered) may call the call center or present to Pharmacy (take a ticket to get to in window), however, all new prescriptions will take 3 business days unless an emergency medication.

Same day service is only available for Emergency prescriptions (acute pain, antibiotics, etc.). New emergency prescriptions must be requested prior to 1500 for same day pick-up. New emergency prescriptions requested after 1500 will be filled the next business day.

Drop Off Policy

All prescriptions can be dropped off for a later pick up. All non-emergency prescriptions require a 3 business day turn around time. Hand written prescriptions are authorized for scheduled medications ONLY.

No other hand written prescriptions are accepted. For hand written prescriptions, simply fill out the drop off request form and wait by the sign in front of window 3 and 4.

The technician will call you up when ready, review the form and tell you when to come back to get you medication. Upon return, you will pull a refill ticket and have minimal wait.

To maintain social distancing, patients are no longer advised to wait in the lobby for prescriptions to be filled (with the exception of prescriptions for Emergency Acute Pain, Antibiotics, Etc.).
