Pharmacy serves to provide quality patient-focused pharmacy care that optimizes health, safety, and readiness

New Prescriptions

All prescriptions must be submitted electronically by your provider.
Some exceptions apply. Ask your pharmacy representative for more information.

Activate your prescriptions using Q-Anywhere during your selected pharmacy's work hours.

scan the QR Code and follow the prompts.

You will receive a text message when your prescriptions are ready for pickup.

757-953-0258 during your referred pharmacy’s work hours and follow the prompts to talk with a representative.

All pharmacies can be reached between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Scott Center Refill Pharmacy

Services:

  • Available to all eligible beneficiaries
  • Refills require 3 business days to process (not to include Saturday, Sunday or Holidays)
  • To process refills call the Refill Line at: 757-953-6337 or 1-866-285-1008
  • Refills can also be processed using the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal

If your current prescription has no refills remaining, you must contact your provider for a prescription renewal.

TRICARE Formulary Search Tool
Use the TRICARE Formulary Search Tool to look-up your drug. A search can tell you:

  • Formulary status (generic drug, brand-name drug, non-formulary drug, non-covered drug)
  • Where the prescription can be filled
  • Copayments and limitations, such as prior authorization
  • Coverage review requirements and forms
  • Alternative medications, including costs
To start your search, you’ll need to put in the brand name or generic name of the drug and then select the strength prescribed, as well as your gender and age

Helpful Pharmacy Information

Identification Card (ID) Requirement:

  • A valid Military ID Card is required in order to pick-up a prescription for all eligible patients 10 years of age and older
  • Photocopy or electronic image (front & back) on a smartphone is acceptable
  • A valid Military ID Card is necessary to establish medical eligibility and authorization

TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery:

Prescription Transfers:

  • Prescriptions transfers may be requested at the Main Pharmacy
  • Please permit 3 business days for processing (Not to include Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays)

Controlled Substances Defined:

  • Substances that have a currently accepted medical use but they possess a relative abuse potential and likelihood of causing dependence when abused
  • These substances are regulated by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
  • Legal requirements are stricter for these substances and require more time to prepare
  • Schedule II medications: A prescription for a controlled substance classified as a Schedule II medication shall be filled within 60 days of the date originally written or “do not fill before date” as written by a provider.
  • Schedule III, IV, and V medication: A prescription for a Schedule III, IV, or V medication shall be filled within six months of the date originally written. These prescriptions may be refilled, if authorized by the prescriber, up to five times within a 6-month period from the date originally written.
