About Us

Veterinary Services


The Naval Station Norfolk Veterinary Treatment Facility provides basic primary care for Service Member’s pets such as health certificates, wellness exams, vaccinations, chronic medications. We also have availabilities for sick appointments and diagnostic procedures such as radiology, fine needle aspirates, bloodwork, urinalysis and fecal exams. Please be aware that our Military Working Dogs take priority for services at all times and may disrupt pet appointments.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Active Duty, Active Reserve, Retired with Medical Benefits and their dependents
  • Foreign Military on NATO Orders
  • Registration or Permanent Change of Station with Pets: Please feel free to email prior to visiting the clinic to be sure you are bringing all documents necessary for services.

  • Limited availability of soft tissue and reproductive surgeries
  • All Services are by appointment only

PCS With Pets

  • Please find an outside veterinarian to help you complete the process in case our facility is completely booked. We will do our best to front-load Service Members that are PCSing, but availability is not guaranteed.

  • Be aware that there are only 2 phones in the VTF.
  • We are the closest for NS Norfolk, NAS Oceana, JEB Little Creek – Fort Story, and Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
  • The next closest VTFs to NS Norfolk and the surrounding area are JB Langley-Eustis.
