Pediatric Neurology

The neurology specialists at NMCP Portsmouth provide a comprehensive range of diagnosis and treatment programs for infants, children and adolescents with conditions or diseases of the neuro system.

The division of Child Neurology sees patients in all areas of neurology including:

  • Seizures
  • Epilepsy
  • Headache
  • Migraine
  • Stroke
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Developmental Delay
  • Autism
  • Movement Disorders
  • Neuromuscular Disorders

Please fill out an Intake Form prior to your first visit to help expedite the rooming process (If coming for headaches, please fill out the Headache Visit – Initial form). These forms can be found on the Pediatric Forms page under Pediatric Neurology.  

Referral Instructions

TRICARE Prime from Military Treatment Facilities: Your Primary Care Provider will submit the referral to Health Net Federal Services (HNFS). Call the Hampton Roads Appointment Center (HRAC) at 1-866-645-4584 in 48 hours to schedule your appointment. Everyone must call within 28 days or your referral will be closed.

TRICARE Prime from Civilian Offices

Your Primary Care Provider will submit the referral to HNFS. Call HNFS at 1-877-TRICARE in 4 working days for information related to your appointment.

TRICARE Select

Your Primary Care Provider will submit the referral to HNFS. You will receive a letter in approximately 10 days with information on how to schedule your appointment. You can call HNFS at 1-877-TRICARE to check the status of your referral.
