About Us

Reduce Adverse Drug Events

One of 10 harm specific initiatives designed to implement identified evidence based practices to improve patient care through reduction/avoidance of adverse drug events (injury resulting from use of a drug caused by medication errors, or adverse drug reactions such as allergic reactions or excessive bleeding after treatment). Improvement strategies will be focused on 4 groups of high alert medication categories: anticoagulants, narcotics, insulins and sedatives. High alert medications are medications that are most likely to cause significant harm to the patient, even when used as intended. The ultimate goal is enhanced Patient Safety!
